Learn How BMX! On this page you can learn how to do tricks on your Bmx!
There are 3 Levels of tricks we display on our site. Easy, Medium, and Hard.
Bunnyhop: (Easy) Go at a slow speed lean up hold your bars and jump while on the bike.
If when you jumped you lifted your front and rear tires lifted the ground then you succeeded.
Barspin: (Easy) There are two ways to do a barspin. 1. If you have two rear pegs hop onto those while your hands are on the bars and quickly lift the front wheel
and spin the bars around. Then catch them once theve gone once around, or however many barspins you do.
2. For more skilled riders you can do barspins without using the pegs. When you get air hold onto your bike with your legs, lean back so the
bars dont hit your knees and then spin the bars. And catch them.
Stoppie: (Easy) A stoppie requires a front brake so to do one make sure you have that then go at your regular pace of riding and pull your front brake.
Your back tire the bike will start to lift up so lean with it and when you lose balance fall back to quit.
Footjam: (Medium) For this trick unlike stoppie you dont need a front brake. To pull off this maneuver if you are new to this trick go slow and put your
stronger foot into the front tire on either side. If you go to fast and have no experience you will flip over. So go at a good speed then as your foot
goes into the tire raise the back of the bike naturally and try to balance. (There are many forms of footjams so you can add other tricks)
Cat Walk: (Easy) One of the most simple tricks. All you have to do is go at any speed, lift up your front tire into a wheelie and start to pedal in the air.
The longer you can stay going on one wheel the higher your skill level.
Wheelie: (Easy) Another Easy Trick. Just go at any speed and lift your front wheel and when your done let it to the ground again.
Manual: (Medium) Manuels are a good trick for people who have mastered Wheelie's and Catwalks. To do this enter in your position to do a
wheelie or a catwalk but dont pedal. Once you have lifted your front tire your goal is to try and stay moving and balanced at the same time.
To end this trick simply lean down on the front wheel lightly.
Barhop: (Hard) There are 2 ways to do barhops. 1. Be riding your bike on a smooth surface and quickly lift your feet from your pedals all
the way to place them over the bars. Hold it as long as you can for more style. Then to undo this trick take it one leg at a time off the bars
and return to normal. 2. You can also do this in the air. But you need a lot of speed so get some big air, hold tight onto your grips
and do the same thing as in #1. But in the air you try to get on and off the bars quickly.
Dancing: (Hard) To dance on your bike you need to have a really high balance level. Once youve got that you can be on a flat surface and move your bike
at certain angles and get on your bike in different ways to impress the crowd. Bike Dancing is no specific way so feel free to do whatever.
Backflip: (Hard) To be able to perfrom one you should 1st try to do this into a local parks foampit or a pool.
Start to perfrom this by going fast off a large ramp and then lean back as much as possible then you will do a backflip.
